Adventure Dog Carting Tour

Approximate 1.5 hour experience

8:30 AM, 9:30 AM & 10:30 AM (Friday-Monday) 

Tour includes:
– 30 min intro & time with the dogs
– 30 min on the trail
– 30 min in the Boundary Ranch Wildlife Wonders Museum

195 + GST per person (Suitable for children aged 5 years+ & min 50lbs)

We’ve partnered with Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours to bring a new and unique summer tour experience to Alberta! Experience a team of husky sled dogs leading you through the forest, surrounded by the stunning mountain scenery of Kananaskis.    

Enjoy an exciting ride through the forest as your team of huskies leads the way, with opportunities to learn more about the dogs and experience what it’s like to be part of a sled dog team.   

  • Tours run from June to October each year, weather permitting.
  • The 2026 Adventure Dog Carting season will run until October 12, 2026.
  • Each cart accommodates up to 4 participants aged 5 years and older. 
  • Your tour includes a stop at the buffalo paddock and the teepee village.
  • This interactive tour includes an introduction to dryland dog carting and an opportunity to help care for the dogs.
  • Tour also includes entrance to the recently updated Guinn Wildlife Wonders Museum.

Great beginner horseback riding experience. The horses are well behaved, the staff is friendly and accommodating, food’s great. The trail, however, is mostly on forested paths, with only one clearing available to admire the wonderful mountain views; there’s no freeriding available, even in the corrall; if you want to hear the running commentary from the trail leader, you need to be in the front 2-3 positions.

This is a very easy to find ranch and it is very clean and well organized. We did a full day trip with our guide, Nick. The trail and the views were breath taking. We were able to see deers and also some grouse birds. I highly recommend this ranch to all people regardless of your riding experience.
