Surf Adventures at Boundary Ranch

An Exciting Adventure Packed Day Awaits You In Kananaskis Country!

Ride with Boundary Ranch and Raft with Canadian Rockies Rafting! Wear your jeans, bring your bathing suit, and get ready for a great full day adventure! Start your day with two hours on horseback with the popular Ridge Ride. Upon returning to Boundary Ranch, enjoy your choice of a classic cowboy meal of a delicious BBQ Steak or ranch made BBQ Burger.

The Surf & Saddle Adventure is now unavailable for the 2026 summer season, as rafting is no longer available. We look forward to welcoming you back for this adventure next season!

2 hour ride + 1 hour lunch + 2 hours rafting

  • Steak Package $349 + GST per Adult (16+yrs)

BBQ STEAK LUNCH

Including:

  • 6 oz. NY Steak
  • Caesar Salad
  • Ranch Baked Beans
  • Roll with Butter
  • Ranch Baked Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Your choice of Coffee, Hot Tea or Iced Tea

BBQ BURGER LUNCH

Including:

  • BBQ Beef Burger
  • Ranch Baked Beans
  • Caesar Salad
  • Ranch Squares with Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Your choice of Coffee, Hot Tea or Iced Tea
  • After lunch, paddle through the surf and rapids of the mighty Kananaskis River for an exhilarating White Water Rafting experience
  • Rafters travel approximately 12km through Class I to Class III rapids and fast moving water
  • All necessary river equipment and safety gear (such as wetsuits and helmets) is supplied along with professional guides
  • You will need to bring a towel and bathing suit or something you can wear under the wet suit
  • Total Time approximately 7 hours: from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Includes transportation and getting ready.
  • Reservations are required: please book in advance by Info Request, phone or email
  • Surf n’ Saddle Adventure packages are subject to availability
  • Surf and Saddle packages are not able to be booked online. Please call to make your reservation 1-877-591-7177
  • We can add you to a waitlist for this great adventure too
  • Rafting is available from May to September each year, weather permitting. Specific season dates are dependent on weather conditions

Great beginner horseback riding experience. The horses are well behaved, the staff is friendly and accommodating, food’s great. The trail, however, is mostly on forested paths, with only one clearing available to admire the wonderful mountain views; there’s no freeriding available, even in the corrall; if you want to hear the running commentary from the trail leader, you need to be in the front 2-3 positions.

This is a very easy to find ranch and it is very clean and well organized. We did a full day trip with our guide, Nick. The trail and the views were breath taking. We were able to see deers and also some grouse birds. I highly recommend this ranch to all people regardless of your riding experience.
